Traffic Regulation Signs
PURPOSE OF USE:Traffic Regulation Signs are used for informing the users of the road about the special rules, various restrictions and bans that they should obey. Traffic Regulation Signs are classified under three categories as priority, ban-restriction and Obligation signs.
PRODUCTION MEASURES:The signs in this group are generally expressed with symbols in triangles. They are scaled according to the status of the road where they are used.
PLACES OF USE:Unless otherwise is stated, the restriction and ban is indicated on an additional panel together with the sign plate, beginning from the point where the plate is erected, and continues until the next sign indicating a contrary order or until the next crossroad. If the indicated ban or restriction is required to continue after the crossroad, then the sign must be repeated. Traffic Regulation Signs, which are used together with a settlement area sign, mean that the rule is valid for the entire settlement area unless a different rule is indicated with other signs at certain sections of the settlement area.
STANDARD:They are manufactured according to the standards of State Roads General Directorate and international road standards.
